Ain’t No Limits

Eight artists collaborate in a reciprocal ekphrastic exhibition challenging and championing our collective and personal dedication to actualizing a self unbound by the social, economic, and interpersonal limits often placed on Black women and women of color who dare to demand more freedom, more pleasure, more rest, and more abundance. The artists are anonymously paired, one visual and one literary, to create original work that disrupts the status quo, reclaims identity, and empowers us to individually and collectively push back against boundaries and limitations that stifle and oppress our attempts to fully self-actualize. All works presented are new and original, created with an intention to claim limitless freedom, rest, and joy for ourselves while advocating for others to do the same.
